I completed my Ph.D. in Poultry Science at the University of Georgia and earned both my M.S. and B.S. in Biology at Appalachian State University. Broadly, my research interests focus on the molecular mechanisms that mediate behavioral plasticity. In the past, I examined how exposure to testosterone during prenatal development affects offspring aggression and genome-wide neural gene expression and methylation in songbirds. I'm excited to now explore the underlying molecular mechanisms that mediate aggressive behaviors in female birds.
